Stand Together By Standing Alone

To plan at this stage is premature. We need to allow this time to collectively rest, reflect and recall what we were brought onto this planet to do. While there is the distraction of fear, worry and anxiety, this will just continue the frenetic nature of the fear cycle. I can understand and appreciate the need for certainty in these uncertain times. But any sort of stability we are trying to hold onto will only be temporary, this is the time to let go and see what happens. I can hear the outrage of this suggestion. I can also feel the anger of this suggestion. These feeling are not going to help, they just feed a cycle. Instead consider taking one day at a time, that is all we can do just now.

If you are lucky enough to have some free time use it wisely. And yes, that might be to binge a Netflix series. But there is also the invitation to pause, sit and reflect on what you really want to do with your time and energy. What is it you LOVE to do? What do you enjoy doing? What are you actually doing? Are these things in alignment with how you spend your time?

If you are part of a group of the important workers that are sustaining us, thank you. The supermarket workers, cleaners, government workers providing us payments, tradies fixing things, teachers and so many more – thank you. When you come home, I hope you are able to relax, refresh and restore your energy. Your time will come later to have a break and reflect.

To say these are unprecedented times is stating the obvious.

It is what we do with this time that will be the mark we choose to make on our future.
